A trauma plate, also known as a "Hard Armor Plate," typically offers protection levels NIJ Level 3 (III) and 4 (IV) as an addition.

There are two main types of trauma plates:

• ICW (In Conjunction With): This type of trauma plate only achieves the stated level of protection when used together with a bulletproof vest (Soft Armor).
• SA (Stand Alone): This type of trauma plate can be used as a single plate without the need for additional protection from a bulletproof vest.

Trauma plates can also vary in their shape:

• Single Curved: Has a simple curve that follows the body's natural shape, providing a good fit.
• Multi Curved: This trauma plate is designed with extra attention to detail and follows the body's contours, making it more comfortable.
