What does NIJ certification and protection levels mean?

NIJ (National Institute of Justice) is the leading standard for testing bulletproof products.

• Level IIA / II / IIIA: Protects against pistols (e.g., 9mm, .44 Magnum).
• Level III: Protects against rifles (e.g., 7.62mm NATO).
• Level IV: Protects against armor-piercing rifle ammunition (e.g., .30-06 AP).
  
  

We primarily use UHMWPE (Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene), an extremely strong and lightweight type of polyethylene, which is also known from brands such as Dyneema

Use our size guide, which takes into account height, weight, and chest measurement. The vest should cover the chest, belly, and back – but not be so long that it pushes up under the chin when you sit down.

It should:

• Fit snugly to the body without restricting movement.
• Cover vital organs (without going too far down).
• Not slip or shift during activity.

The implant can be removed so the cover can be easily washed. You can buy an extra cover to ensure continuous use. Always keep the vest dry.

Wash only the outer vest (cover) by hand or gently in the machine.
Never use bleach or a tumble dryer.

Store flat or hanging in a dry, cool place – never in damp rooms, cars in summer, or in direct sunlight. Avoid folding or pressing the panels.

• 5 years warranty on implants made with EA-TEX fiber
• 10 years warranty on implants made with Twaron fiber
• 2 years warranty on the vest's cover itself

A bulletproof vest protects against shots from handguns by catching and enclosing projectiles, thereby saving lives.

Vests come in several protection levels and are made of materials such as Aramid or Polyethylene, which absorb and spread the energy from the shot to minimize injury.

Although the vest stops the bullet, the impact can still be dangerous, which is why energy distribution is important to protect the body as best as possible.

No bulletproof vest is 100% stab-proof. However, our vests with EA-TEX implants provide a very high level of protection against knife stabs and will stop a knife attack in about 95% of cases.

In fact, with an Elite Armor vest, you are better protected than over 40% of American officers according to independent data.

However, it should be mentioned that very sharp or pointed weapons, such as razor-thin daggers or tools, can in some cases penetrate the material, especially if the attack is targeted and forceful.

A bulletproof vest works by catching and slowing projectiles with a network of strong, crosswoven fibers. Instead of deflecting the bullet, the fibers absorb the energy and spread it over a larger area, so you avoid fatal injuries.
